Scenes in Helsinki Finland...

On August 22 I departed for a 10 day trip to northern Europe that included the countries of Finland, Estonia, Russia, and Sweden. My first stop after two days traveling and four plane rides was Helsinki, the capital of Finland...here's a few scenes around the city...

  2. Would luv to see Captions & Commentary from you to go with your pics! You are our Twitter Tweeter eyes & ears when a travelin' man!

1st impression: Finland is so clean! Even white bldg facades.

Lots of water, also lots of pavement. Sky is pristine blue..if was a USA city, would be industrial pollution showing, smokestacks, smoke.

Luv the outdoor cafe tables. Folks dress as in USA (maybe tourists!)

    Can't tell car makes.. Volvos??

Boo! on PEPSI for desecrating bldg facade w big Pepsi logo.

I like the in-city greenery. The water looks clean, was it? I see no algae or vegetation overgrowth in the water and NO LITTER anywhere in yer pics.. hear THAT, USA?

Noticed no animals, dogs, etc. Is that common for No.Europe in the cities?

What is that tallship in the last Finland page photo, I am wondering?
